BBFC

The BBFC are the 'British board of film clasification' who are an independant, non- governmental body funded through the fees it charges to those who submit films and video through clasification.

What do the BBFC take ito consideration?

  • Discrimination
  • Drugs
  • Horror
  • Imitable behaviour
  • Language
  • Nudity
  • Sex
  • Theme
  • Violence
Key to each decision is the context in which any of the above are presented.

Some examples that the BBFC have banned in the uk because they are of a worse standard of 18.
  • Human Centipede 2 the full sequence.
  • Grotesc because it had to much level of sexual tortue.

BBFC - How I would classify our film

In line with BBFC Guidelines, I would classify my film as an 18

The reasons for this are:
Imitable behaviour such as the violence and hatred towards someone because of them breaking up with you, the use of language, lots of nudity and sex, and large amounts of violence. this is too much for a 15 so it must be an 18, everything in the film is rather graphic and is unsuitable for younger audiences, so this is why it has been set as an 18.

Storyboard

Our storyboard for the 2 minute film opening:

We have chosen an aerial shot because the pictures will all be scattered on the floor and the best way to show them all is by this shot, we have chosen to have narrating over the pictures.

We choose a close up on the pictures to show that we have gone closer to the photos, to show that the woman's face is scratched out. The sound is narrating over the titles.

The shot is a close up because it shows the emotion in the man's face and the closeness between the two, the sound is narrating to show the closeness also between the two people.

The camera then fades out to a point of view shot on the house that the woman lives in. The music will be non diagetic and will change from narrating to eerie music, to show the mood change.

The camera movement in the clip will be a mid shot because it shows her making a cup of tea and then it shows a close up of the kettle to get the audience ready for the next close up. The sound will be edited in for the kettle and the music will be eerie music.

The man knocks on the door it will be a close up on his hand knocking to emphasise it. the music will be eerie also.

The camera will then go to a wide angle shot, to show that the woman has opened the door to the house. the sound will then stay eerie slightly to show the suspense.

The camera will then go to a close up of the woman's mouth smiling and then cut to his mouth and his smile will turn to a frown. The music will cut of at this point to create suspense.

The camera will go to a low angle on the woman falling with blood on her face, the sound will kick in as she falls in front of the camera.

The camera will then show the woman waking up after being knocked out, this will be a point of view shot, and the music will be muffled and the breathing will be heavy.

The woman face will be shown a close up and she looks to her left and see's dead people then as she looks the camera goes to another point of view shot. The sound will then get louder and the woman will start to move.

The camera will then show the woman crawling into the corner and the music will still be eerie and it will show the fear on the woman's face. Then the camera moves around and the door opens and we hear the sound of it opening and then it cuts to black.

We did have two more but we have decided to remove those for effect, here they are:

The man walks in it shows a long shot and the music is eerie.

Then she screams and the man walks down the stairs and the woman says why are you doing this to me.
